Cora S. Bryan age 33 of Sevier County, Tennessee was the daughter of Joseph A. Bryan and Elizabeth G. Nichols. As a Bryan, I do not believe she was one of mine. Her grandfather was Franklin Bryan of North Carolina. My Bryans moved to Tennessee from Virginia. In addition, Franklin Bryan lived in Wears Valley, and my Bryans lived in Dumplin Valley. As a Nichols, Cora was the second great granddaughter of Flayl Nichols and Nancy Ann Hatcher. Flayl was the brother of my fifth great grandfather John James Nichols Jr. Caleb Louis (Louis) Emert was the son of Frederick Emert III and Martha Jane Hendrick. |

Effie Lea Tinnell age 6 later married Samuel Edwin Curry. Samuel Edwin Curry was the son of Edwin Jones Curry and Nancy Malinda Yarnell, and the grandson of Robert Minnafe Yarnell and Sarah Hall Bray. Sarah was the daughter of my third great grandparents Edward Payne Bray and Anna F. Messamore. As such, Sarah was the sister of my second great grandfather Joseph A. (Joe) Bray. Effie Lea Tinnell was the daughter of John Martin Tinnell age 29 and Martha Louella (Louella) Allen age 26. |
